Peace foundation distributes sewing machines

Srinagar, November 21 (Scoop News) –Mufti Azam, Mufti Bashir-ud-Dn today said that Kashmir is the Valley of saints peers and awalia kirams who have always taught the lesson of tolerance, brotherhood and amity. Mufti Azam was presiding over an impressive function organized by Peace Foundation at SKICC here today in connection with distribution of Sewing Machines and relief among widows, orphans and destitutes of the Valley.
Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The function was among others attended by MLA Dilawar Mir, Ex MP Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Ex MLA, G.N. Mir Lasjan, Vice Chairman Srinagar Development Authority, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, Mirwaiz Central Mufti Abdul Lateef, Chairman Peace Foundation, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and members of civil society.
Appreciating the state government for formulating safety and security measures of religious shrines, Mufti Azam said that Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is seriously concerned about the upkeep of the shrines, Mosques and Dargahs of great saints and several concrete steps have been initiated by the government in this direction. Appealing affluent class of the society in joining hands with organizations like Peace Foundation, Mufti Sahib said every individual should contribute a bit in upliftment of poor masses and downtrodden communities.
Khawaja Farooq Renzushah on this occasion lauded the role of Peace Foundation in providing ample opportunities to new generation in getting free admission for professional courses free of cost with the
