Our past activities

Some of the activities carried out by the JKPF, are summarised as below:-

 ► In 2004, a big Aman Mella was celebrated in Jallandhar attended by prominent peace activists of India and Pakistan.

 ►  During July 2008, Peace Conference was held at blockhead quarter Gulab Ghar padder, when the land was engulfed with the flames of communalism due to ongoing row over Shri Amernath Land, and free blankets were distributed amongst widows, destitute and poor women. The conference was organised by Shri Ram Singh Chauhan Gen. Secy. JKPF and was attended by several prudent citizens of the area.

 ►  In collaboration with Bharat Bangladesh Pakistan People’s Forum, held several meetings with all sections of society, under extreme hostile conditions including curfew restrictions, during august 2009 and succeeded in normalizing the situation to great extent. 

 ►  On 30th. January 2010 Peace Conference was held in Abhinav Theatre Jammu where Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Hon’ble Union Minister was chief guest.

 ►  On 20th. feb. 2010,  free medical camp was organised at Badheri Samba were Hon’ble M.L.A Shri Yashpaul Kundal was chief guest.

 ► On 10th. March 2010, free medical camp and a peace conference was held at Ramban.

  On 21/11/2010 peace, prominent citizens / youth leaders of four districts of south kashmir held conference at Dak Banglow Khanabal Anantnag Kashmir, which was attended. a prominent Islamic Scholar Moulana Junaid Hashim, member “Rabita alam-e- islam” delivered effective speech on world peace, which laid great impact on the minds of the youth towards normalisation of the situation.

 ►  Again, during november 2010 said islamic scholar on the persuasion of JKPF, delivered several peace speeches in district Anantnag, which were aired in different Masjids in Srinagar and other parts of the valley, which helped a lot in changing the hearts of the youths.

►  On 28th. January 2011, a gala peace conference was held at Abhinov Theatre Jammu in which esteemed Shri N.N. Vohra h.e. the governor, chief patron JKPF was the chief guest and which was attended by several thinkers, scholars, peace activists, legislators and ministers.

 ►  On 16th & 17th May 2011, two day’s peace conference was held at SKICC, Chasma Shahi Srinagar. he the governor, esteemed N.N. Vohra –chief patron JKPF, was the chief guest and was attended by several dignitaries , social and religious personalities and peace activists drawn from 21 states of the country as also Jenab Dr. Ahmad Salim Al Wahishi his excellency ambassador of Arab League and prominent personality from Bangladesh.

  JKPF has organised its 37th. one-day peace conference on 31st. may 2011 at Lathi district Udhampur, Jammu in which hundreds local delegates/ prudent citizens  participated and were given awareness about importance of peace and perils of discontentment in the society.

► On 16th june 2011, a peace conference was held at Ruzloo Kund Anantnag Kashmir, which was attended by the peace activists drawn from more than one and half dozen villages of the vicinity. Shri Shafqat Ali Watalli, DIG, Anantnag was the chief guest.

 ► On 13th. october 2011, a notable and gala peace conference, for the first time in Kashmir since the outbreak of militancy in the valley, was held at Dak- Banglow Khanabal in South Kashmir. The Peace Conference was held under the chief patronage of he the governor esteemed N.N.Vohra and was attended by several dignitaries like Jenab Gh. Hassan Mir Hon’ble Minister, Mtr. Sakina Itoo Hon’ble minister, Jenab Mehboob Beigh Hon’ble M.P., Jenab Gh. Nabi Rattanpuri Hon’ble M.P, Jenab Syed Atta Hassnen Commander 15th. core, GOC Victor Force, ex. M.P’s Sheikh Ab. Rehman and Ab. Rashid Kabuli, Moulana Gh. Mohammad Sheikh President Anwarul Islam, Director Information Jenab Farooq Ahmad Rinzoo, representatives of Islamic, Kashmir and agriculture university, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi district development commissioner Anantnag, Jenab Shafkat Ali Watali DIG South Kashmir, all SSP’s of South Kashmir, Jenab Zafar Manhas Secretary J&K academy of art culture and language, principal Moulana Azad university Kashmir. besides several dignitaries, prudent citizens and delegates participated with great zeal, zest and fervor participated. the unction was presided by prof. Ab. Wahid vice- chancellor Central University Kashmir. the function paved historical way in spreading the message of peace and containing anti- social and anti- national activities across the valley to great extent. besides, above several peace conferences on village, Panchayat, block and district quarters were held throughout the state aiming peace, prosperity, brotherhood and communal harmony.

►  On 28th. January, 2012, again a remarkable peace conference was held at Abihinov theatre Jammu which was presided over by Padamvibhushan- Shri Balrajpuri, under the patronage of chief guest – esteemed Shri N.N. Vohra, he the governor and was attended by Hon’ble ministers namely, Jenab Ali Mohammad Sagar, Gh. Hassan Mir, Honb’le M.P’s, legislators, Smt. Mamta Sharma Hon’ble Chairperson national commission for women GOI. Director General of Police Shri. Kuldeep Khudda (IPS). Besides several heads of social, religious and youth organisation.

► On 29th of May 2012 delegate convention was organised at Raj Bhawan Jammu delegates from all the three regions of the state attended the conference. Shri N.N Vohra  heg & chief patron JKPF addressed the convention and directed to the delegates to perform their duties for restoration of peace and aware the people of the state and for merits of peace and demerits of violence.

 ► On 7th of July 2012 on the first death anniversary of former president ulmah forum JKPFand Mirwaiz/Mufti South Kashmir Qazi Aman. JKPF organised ulmah conference at S P College Srinagar which was presided by aaga abul hussan al – mousvi – al safvi ameer almi majlis takreeb mazhabi islami iran observer for j & k state and the chief guest was jenab syed abdul lateef bukhari mir waiz central Kashmir and president Meli Ithad Forum Jammu Kashmir. on the occasion chair man JKPF Fayaz Ahmad Bhat nominated sayed abdul lateef bukhari mir waiz central kashmir the president of jkpf ulmah forum and  aaga abul hussan al – mousvi – al safvi ameer almi majlis islami Iran the general secretary of the JKPF ulmah forum. sayed abdul lateef bukhari president JKPF ulmah forum was awarded by Qazi Qman peace award.

►  Srinagar, November 21 (scoop news) –mufti azam, mufti bashir-ud-din today said that Kashmir is the valley of saints peers and awalia kirams who have always taught the lesson of tolerance, brotherhood and amity. mufti azam was presiding over an impressive function organized by peace foundation at SKICC here today in connection with distribution of sewing machines and relief among widows, orphans and destitutes of the valley.
minister for agriculture, ghulam hassan mir was the guest of honour on the occasion. The function was among others attended by mla dilawar mir, ex mp sheikh abdul rehman, ex mla, g.n. mir lasjan, vice chairman srinagar development authority, khawaja farooq renzushah, mirwaiz central mufti abdul lateef, chairman peace foundation, fayaz ahmad.

Jammu and Kashmir peace foundation stressed the high importance of enlarging awareness among the students of Jammu and Kashmir about the special scholarship scheme launched by the central government to enable them to pursue higher studies and various professional courses outside the state so that a maximum number of them could benefit from this valuable scheme.the governor, as chief guest, was addressing before flagging-off a group of 700 students from Jammu and Kashmir who have been selected for pursuing various professional courses in different institutions in the country under the special scholarship scheme of the union ministry of human resource development, at a function organized by the Jammu and Kashmir peace foundation, at SKICC.

Srinagar : union minister for human resource development (HRD) Dr M M Pallam Raju Wednesday said Kashmir has witnessed lot of trouble over the past two decades and it is time to move ahead as young “India holds a big promise” for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Raju also said till recently, he was not aware about the delay in reimbursement of rs 1200 crore funds under prime minister’s special scholarship scheme (PMSSS) and he will look into the issue personally. kashmir has to move forward: raju ‘will look into delay in disbursement of scholarships under pmsss’ peace conference organized by Jammu & Kashmir peace foundation

► Addressing 48th peace conference, organized by J&K Peace Foundation, at SKICC on the banks of famous Dal lake here, the union HRD minister said a lot has happened in Kashmir during the past 22 years. “i don’t want to talk about that. it’s time to move ahead,” he said. “we need to think about what needs to be done for the youth of j&k.”

► The governor, as chief guest, was addressing the 45th peace conference organized by the jammu and kashmir peace foundation (jkpf) at General Zorawar Singh auditorium, here today.referring to the unfortunate situation that obtained in the state in the past years, the governor observed that we have suffered great human and economic losses alongside an irreparable loss to the education and careers of the youth. he added that having passed through a very difficult time our people now seek and pray for peace and normalcy. he observed that our youth have since come up in a big way and many of them are pursuing their education in reputed technical and professional institutions across the country and competing successfully for various career options. he emphasized the need for enabling the youth to pursue their education, improve their skills and secure gainful employment to secure bright and better careers. in this context, he referred to the special scholarship scheme launched by the central government to enable the youth of j&k to pursue higher studies and various professional courses outside the state and the other skill up gradation schemes which are also available, adding that a maximum possible number of them should benefit from these opportunities. the governor said that the spurt of development and economic activity, particularly during the past two years, has clearly demonstrated that progress can be achieved only when normalcy prevails. he observed that the stable environment during the past two years has put the state on the path of progress and expressed sincere hope that, god willing, we would succeed in our endeavors and jammu and kashmir will emerge as the leading state in the country. referring to his interactions with the chairman and office bearers of the j&k peace foundation during the past about four years, the governor complimented mr. fayaz ahmed bhat, chairman of the foundation, members of his team and all the associated activists for taking the highly laudable initiative of organizing various functions for promoting communal harmony, peace and amity and wished them high success in their continuing endeavors.

57th one day peace conference organised by j & k peace foundation
in continuation of efforts for bringing peace in Kashmir the 57th one day peace conference was held at SKICC, Srinagar organized by Jammu and kashmir peace foundation on the eve of 68th. independence day. jammu and kashmir peace foundation has been holding such conferences every year on national days for the last 20 years. this conference carried significance asit was chaired by dr. ramjethmalani hon’ble member of parliament (chairman kashmir committee). dr. njma haptullah, hon’ble union minister for minority affairs representing govt. of india also participating as chief guest. among other important guests of honor representing different sections of the society and community.

► Flood victims of the valley shall get all kinds of support by jammu & kashmir peace foundation. at a largest ever relief distribution function held at lawans of Santoor hotel srinagar. immediately after its is 61 annual conference the top brose of peace foundation assured flood victims that it will be front line organization to provide all necessary relief and rehabilitation facilities to the effective people. on this occasion   chairman peace foundation mr. fayaz ah. bhat, president samast mahajan mr. girish shah, renoved social worker of the country mr. suresh jain, chairman kashmir society mr. ranzu shah, mirwaiz central kashmir moulana latief bukheri, representative of muftiazam jammu and kashmir represented by ab. khaliq, hafeeza muzafir president jkpf, moulana noorani nakashbandi, moulana mushtaq ul haq and prominent intellectuals and social workers from all districts of kashmir. where present the thousands of flood victims where provided relief material in large quantity and this relief mission will continue from place to place and village to village. these organizations plate vital role from first day of the flood in resque operations and its volunteers saved lives of thousands of people. the organizations will also work for permanent settlements of those whose houses have been washed away are permanently rendered non physical for residential use. the devastating flood have destroyed major institutions, infrastructure, houses, commercial establishment and major sources of income of common people. from the very beginning miss managed flood control system could not play effective role to save lives and properties at the time of crisis. the jammu & kashmir peace foundation voluntarily played immediate role in rescue operation and saved thousands of lives in both south kashmir as well as in srinagar through well net cadres and volunteers. now j & k peace foundation which is pro india organization and have background of changing the minds of people through its sustained campaign for last two decades. jammu and kashmir peace foundation is a registered movement under state, central and international norms even recently after formation of bjp govt. in central, peace foundation organized to honor top central govt. ministers and personalities including dr. najma a. heptulla (hon’ble minister for minority affairs), dr. ramjeth malani ( hon’ble member of parliament) , vice chancellors of different  universities and religion  heads of different religions. it was of its own that jkpf contributed their own donations inspite of the fact that all its members are also flood victims but jkpf preferred to establish various relief camps were flood affected areas and accommodated flood victims in these camps. we continue to do the same to counter the attempts which are being made by anti national to use this flood relief in their favor. we also convince people that how the prime minister made personal contribution for flood effected people. we are highlighting the role of army who projected lots of people how ever all recourses have gone exhausted and we need sustained and continues support directly by all central govt. ministers so that we are able to rehabitate  millions of people whose economy have come to level zero, who have no houses and shelter to sleep. the winter is coming children will die in the cold if steps are not taken to provide the shelter as well as medical facilities. jkpf have pronged strategy to directly involve general public in relief activities which should be properly projected as pro indian health so that anti indian forces and their ngo’s as well their civil society are marginalized at the time of these crisis. we hope that the importance of our role and contribution is properly taken notes off and all concerned agencies are advised to operate through peace foundation so that we are able to strength the confidence of effected peoples as well as play patriotic role to create good image of our country.

► 60th one day peace conference on the eve of gandhi jayanti on 2nd october 2014 at mashwar shopian. chairman fayaz ahmad bhat in his speach highlighted, “the birth anniversary of mahatma gandhi, the father of our nation, is an occasion for all of us to rededicate ourselves to bapuji’s ideals of truth, non-violence and all-round development. gandhiji’s leadership inspired millions to unite in the cause of freedom and independence. he also taught us to stand resolutely against fear, to understand the importance of truth and to work for the betterment of our motherland. Gandhiji believed that cleanliness is next only to godliness. let us pledge this day to convert cleanliness into a national passion. every road, every path, every office, every home, every hut, every stream and every particle in the air around us can and must be kept clean and in support of victims affected by the devastating flood in jammu and kashmir chairman jkpf brought relief to the people from different states on its own and distributed in different places of kashmir. chairman jkpf continued its campaign with his team at today in shopian.

Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation (a non government and non political movement for global peace prosperity, brotherhood and communal harmony) organised its 69th one day peace conference on the eve of uras hazrati nurshah ali bagdadi r a on 10th of february 2015 at oriel kund of district kulgam.
relief was distributed among the poor widows of backward area.  the theme of the conference was (beati bachav beati padaav)

October 2: gandhi jayanti was celebrated at shivpora office, srinagar. chairman jammu kashmir peace foundation fayaz ahmed bhat delivered a soulful speech on gandhi jayanti. in this occasion others who also delivered speech on the birth anniversary of gandhi ji include president hafiza muzzafar, gen. secretary aijaz ahmad khan, distt. presindent srinagar dr. mohd yousuf mir. on the occasion prominent religious leader moulana yousuf ajas joined jkpf along with one thousand activists, fayaz ahmad bhat and other members welcomed them. in his speech he assassinated about gandhi and his sacrifices, kindness, struggle for india’s independence. he said we celebrate 2nd of october in memory of our father nation mohandas karamchand gandhi birth anniversary. he assassinated that gandhi was born on 2nd october at gujarat. he mentioned his studied law in uk and practice law in south africa, fayaz ahmed bhat encouragingly said about gandhi’s profession so that youth of kashmir get inspired. fayaz ahmed bhat said after returning to india gandhi ji set about organizing peasant’s farmer and urban labors to protest against excessive land tax and discrimination. fayaz bhat said gandhi ji set an example of simple living and high thinking. he said gandhi was against the addictions like smoking, drinking etc. he said gandhi played a very significant role in achieving independence for india from british rule gandhi proof to the world that freedom can be achieve though the path of total non violence. gandhi gave a very important message to youth of our country “live as if you where to die tomorrow. learn as if you where to live forever.” fayaz bhat said gandhi ji respected every religion. fayaz ahmed bhat said no one can define gandhi in his speech. he was the reason for our freedom .mahatma gandhi said that rabindranath tagore named him mahatma gandhi ji personality and various happening of his life are so large that all those cannot be summed up in a small speech fayaz ahmed bhat said may we all learn patriotism, truth, nonviolence, simplicity, sacrifice, and firmness from our father of nation.

► While presiding over the youth convention organized by peace foundation in j & k state, chairman of peace foundation mr. fayaz ahmad bhat said that the country is progressing fast under the dynamic leadership of the hon’ble prime minister of india shri. narendra modi. the youth is the first priority of the both central and state government, said mr. fayaz ahmad while interacting with the youth. the rally was supported by edi as well as by hemayat and remained very successful with the huge participation of the youth. mr. fayaz ahmad bhat said that jammu & kashmir state can progress only when industries are boosted in the state. hafiza muzafar (program officer hemayat and mr. arif ahmad (regional officer edi) also participated as a guest of honor. the personalities who were present during the convention were arsid ahmad malik district officer edi, including prominent peace activist abdul ahad teli, mohd ibrahim shah, abdul jabbar parry, master abdul rehman parry, prof mohd ramzan, malik iqbal shaheed, pdt inderjeet, taqwir ahmad and many more personalities. he said that our motive is to usher the state to real goal of progress which is possible when is united and youth forget the calls and misleading versions of diverse forces. he said both state both state and central government are presently strengthening the spirit of indianisation in the minds of our youth to make forget all those ideologies which have taken them away from the path of progress. he said that peace foundation has been working for last two and half decades for importance of peace, prosperity, brotherhood and communal harmony and it is possible when our youth realize importance being real indian to work for progress of the entire country including kashmir.
